site council

The James Monroe Elementary School Site Council is a collaborative decision-making group of parents, staff and students which meets monthly with the goal of providing each child with the best education possible. Composed of three teachers, four parents, the school principal, and presence from the student council, the primary task of the Site Council is to create and implement an annual School Improvment Plan that sets goals, looks at resources to increase student success and monitors effectiveness of school curriculum and programs. Members of the council serve to two years, with parent members elected by the parent community as positions become available.
